Once upon a time Steven drew a shitty looking kitty that Casey captioned, giving voice to its shitty demeanor.
Her name was Shitty Kitty.
After making some more, they showed them to friends and enemies and strangers alike and delighted in the laughs of joy and disgust that Shitty Kitty received. So they made more.
A few months later, they started to host Shitty Kitty Meet Ups at Shotwell’s Bar in San Francisco where people could get shitty on good beer while drawing their own crappy cats with captions. You can see photographic proof of these heart warming and fuzzy times here.
The Meet Ups are currently on hold since Casey and Steven moved their operation to Morocco this past August. BUT SHITTY KITTY LIVES ON. Sometimes in the Cartoon of the Week, sometimes even at an art show of her very own– like the one that was at Mission: Comics and Art.
