Soup and Soup
Today we got our cartoon learn on with Jan Eliot who writes the comic Stone Soup.
We were not privileged to a private tutorial. She was actually giving a talk at Art Com, a small art/design school here in Rabat. Proof:
She talked about how she started out as a graphic designer, taught herself to draw from how to draw comic books, and ended up as one of only about 250 lucky folks in the US to make a living out of a daily comic strip. (Sounds good to us!)
As Bob Ross lovers, we particularly enjoyed watching her draw. Only Moroccan student was brave enough to showcase his skills as well.
When we got back we promptly made a comic of our own. Not sure how this came from Jan Eliot. But we were inspired.
