Good Deeds

That would be the American Friends of IEP
Our nonprofit to help raise money for local language programs in Mali, West Africa.

And little while back we made this zine imagining what it would be like if you were ass-height in one of the crazy Malian markets and lost your mom. Check it out below. By purchasing one of these zines for $8 you are donating a Bamanankan book to a Malian student. Email us if you’d like one… or fifty!

We’ve also got plenty of friends and family doing GOOD STUFF. For starters:

Jon Scieszka, author and father of Casey, has a nonprofit called GUYS READ that’s all about getting boys to be life long readers.

Sarah Kelly and Arthur Richards created Adapting to Scarcity as a way to explore how communities deal with diminishing water supplies. They are currently in Mexico doing all kinds of multi-media goodness.
